Behind La Orquídea
Thirteen years ago, I adopted La Orquídea and made it part of my life. What started as a business quickly became something much more—a dream, a responsibility, and eventually, a piece of my heart.
Years later, I began taking bookings for what I believed would be another exciting year. The calendar was filling, celebrations were being planned, and families were trusting La Orquídea with some of the most important moments of their lives.
And then, the pandemic hit.
Almost overnight, everything changed.
For nearly a year, I struggled. There was uncertainty, fear, and so many moments when I didn’t know what the future of La Orquídea would look like. But I wasn’t ready to let her story end there.
After almost a year of fighting to keep the dream alive, I was able to get this building back.
And then came another challenge: starting over.
I began booking events again while also fulfilling the old contracts and promises that had been made before the pandemic. It wasn’t easy. There was so much work to do, so much to rebuild, and so much trust to restore.
But little by little, celebration by celebration, La Orquídea began to bloom again.
That’s when the real story began.
Because behind every beautiful event, every decorated table, every wedding, quinceañera, birthday, and family celebration, there is a story that most people never see.
A story of struggle.
A story of perseverance.
A story of keeping promises.
A story of refusing to give up.
La Orquídea isn’t simply a banquet hall to me.
“She’s a dream I chose to fight for.”
And 13 years later, we’re still here—still celebrating, still creating memories, and still blooming.
This is the story behind La Orquídea. And we’re only getting started.
